Healthy Eating Tips 1 - reach your weight loss goals 1 Avoid mindless snacking on foods that have little nutritional value. Choose a high energy snack, such as dried apricots CHECK; nibbling on these will get you through the day. 2 Eat plenty of fruit to boost your immune system and cut down on wheat (bread and pasta) for a flat stomach. 3 Whatever you decide to have for your dinner, make sure that at least half your plate is full of vegetables. 4 Arm yourself against temptation! Fill a lunch box with a healthy salad and carry it everywhere. 5 Don’t keep ready to eat foods in the house. If you have to, store it on a high shelf out of sight. 6 Weight control is about balance. If you eat too much one day, you can make up for it by eating less the next day. The important thing is not to feel guilty if you go out for a dinner or have a pudding, make sure you enjoy it! 7 If you fancy something sweet, choose one of our 150 calorie treats. 8 Don’t eat anything that comes out of a packet and don’t eat anything that needs advertising. Healthy foods sell themselves. 9 If you do crave chocolate, satisfy the urge with a few squares of an expensive, organic, fairly traded variety. Eat slowly, savour the taste and ENJOY !! 10 If you crave ice cream, indulge in a scoop of an expensive, organic variety. ENJOY every teaspoon and savour the taste. Pam Rigden
